Texana Living History Association offers many types of performances to accommodate your program needs. We are also able to adapt our existing programs to conform to specific requirements you may have. All of the programs meet many of the TEKs and TAKs objectives. | Event Campsite |
Texas Revolution era campsite or a Cattle era (1870’s) chuckwagon campsite filled with period furnishings, activities and characters.

| School Campsite |
We have two basic campsites that we can bring to your school: Texas Revolution era campsite or a Cattle era (1870’s) chuckwagon campsite. Both are designed to give students a comprehensive and interactive experience in Texas history. However we have lots of variations and can tailor something to your budget and needs. | Stage Performance |
First person interpretations by Texana performers. Texana performers will
tell their characters story using the first person perspective. Performers appear in
appropriate period clothing .

| Pioneer Life-Skills and Craft Demonstrations |
We can offer a wide variety of interactive demonstrations of life-skills and crafts from the 1800’s. Some of these include: spinning, weaving, quilting, butter making, games/toys, natural dyes, textiles and fibers, candle-dipping, lye soap making, laundry, quill pen making, Christmas celebrations from the past, and many, many more. | Pioneer Life-Skills and Craft Workshops |
Similar to the Demonstrations listed above. However, these workshops are designed to be a “hands-on” experience for each person. These are usually presented in a classroom or similar venue and each person usually walks away with a completed treasure. Workshops can be tailored to children or adults. | Girl Scout Badge Workshops |
Many of our Pioneer Life-Skills and Craft Demonstrations and Workshops can be tailored to meet badge requirements for a variety of Try-its, Badges, and IP’s. We also offer events during the year that are designed to help Girl Scouts of all levels earn specific badges. | Walkabouts |
Three or more performers in character and period clothing interact with
participants at your event. Performers appear in appropriate period clothing .

| Meet and Greet |
Texana performers can form reception lines, meet your guests as they
arrive, hand out brochures, dine at tables with your guests and can perform a wide variety
of duties at dinners, conventions etc.

| Training Workshops |
Training in first person interpretation and motivational speaking. We can
host an event or participate in an event you are sponsoring. We are very flexible and can
accommodate a wide range of training. This is especially suited for teacher in-service
events.

| Texas History Alive |
Each year Texana presents our annual premiere event called
Texas History Alive. We feature many of our Characters and provide a wide array of
Pioneer Life-Skills and Craft Demonstrations at our largest
Event Campsite of the year. We are fortunate to have the participation of many additional living history organizations from the area at this event. Please contact us if you would like to be a part of Texas History Alive. Check the

| Community Service Opportunities |
Texana has a wide variety of areas where you can volunteer your services. We will provide the necessary training. Whether you have one hour or several hours, we can find a job that is right for you. We especially invite older Junior, Cadette, and Senior Girl Scout troops or individuals who are interested in learning and sharing new skills to be a part of our exciting group.
