Jack Edmondson

Jack Edmondson is a recognized expert on James Bowie and the Bowie knife.  He is an accomplished author and public speaker.

Jack's first presentation was a portrayal of Colonel Travis at the Sesquicentennial Celebration for the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas.  He has also portrayed James Bowie on the History Channel on the "Battle of the Alamo" show, the Discovery Channel's "The Alamo", the James Bowie symposium at Old Washington, Arkansas, and the Second Annual Bowie symposium in Atlanta Georgia.  He portrayed James Bowie at the dedication of the historical marker at Bowie's birthplace, James Bowie's 200the Birthday dedication of the historical marker at Bowie's birthplace, James Bowie's 200th Birthday Celebration in Franklin, Kentucky, and James Bowie's induction into the Bladesmith's Hall of Fame at the Arkansas Territorial Restoration in Littlerock, Arkansas

Jack has also written and published numerous articles on Bowie and he wrote the pageant performed at the Alamo Annual Memorial Celebration "Victory or Death".

Mr. Edmondson has been a member of the Texana Living History Association for many years and also does portrayals of Leander McNelly, Sam Houston, and General Edward H. Tarrant for our organization.

Jack lives in Burleson, Texas with his daughter.
